Yangi O'zbekiston Park

Yangi O'zbekiston Park is one of the newest and most modern walking areas in Tashkent. Park visitors can have a picnic, sit by the pond, or ride a bicycle.

Walk through the Yangi O'zbekiston Park

The recreation area was opened at the end of August 2021. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the ceremony. When planning the facility, the opinions of historians, representatives of creative professions, and residents of the country of different ages were taken into account.

The park is located on a large plot of land near the Tashkent-Humo International Airport. On the territory, there is an artificial lake, cafes, picnic and sports areas, and playgrounds. Pedestrian paths with benches for resting are laid throughout the park. By the way, if you look at the territory of the Yangi O'zbekiston Park from above, you can see that its structure resembles a giant tree with five branches.

The main object of the park, which is visible from afar, is the 60-meter Independence Monument. It is a huge stele with the Humo bird at the top. At the foot of the monument, you can find sculptures with scenes from the history of Uzbekistan.

You can get into the park for free. There are several bus stops nearby. When planning a trip, you need to take into account that it can be very hot here in summer — the trees in the park are still just growing.
