Tashkent City Park
In recent years, Tashkent City Park has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tashkent. People come here to watch the musical fountain show, go shopping, or simply take a walk through the modern and well-kept recreational area.
Tashkent City Park: what to see
The park is part of the Tashkent City International Business Center. The complex also includes the shopping centers, hotels, and residential buildings located here. The park is situated in the center of this cluster.
In the past, residential, office, and administrative buildings were located on the site of Tashkent City Park. Their demolition began in 2015. The opening of the park took place four years after that. Today, only the Arifjanbay Mosque (early 20th century) is a reminder of this area's past. It was reconstructed during the development of the park territory.
The territory of Tashkent City Park is about 18.5 hectares. Pedestrian paths have been laid here, and there are recreation areas. On the territory, there are several kiosks with fast food, ice cream, and drinks. Cafes and restaurants are located near the pond. Those who come here with children can visit the Planetarium, the Celebrity Museum, or the Flying Theater.
In the eastern part of the park, there are two shopping centers — Tashkent City Mall and Park in Mall. The first one has many international brand stores. The second shopping center is smaller, and there are more stores of local manufacturers.
Many people come to Tashkent City Park to watch the bright musical fountain show. It is held here in the evenings during the warm season. You can watch this spectacle from several areas by the pond, from the amphitheater, or from a cafe. The latter option will probably be the most comfortable, but it is better to book tables in advance.
If you want to see other musical fountains in the city, head to Magic City park or take a walk along the Seoul Mun promenade.
