"Valley of Legends" Park in Namangan
"Valley of Legends" (Afsonalar vodiysi) is a large modern amusement park located in Namangan, the second most populous city in Uzbekistan. If you are traveling around the country and staying in Tashkent, you can easily manage a day trip here to walk around a new city and visit this largest recreation and entertainment zone in Uzbekistan.
Visiting the park
The initiator of the creation of the "Valley of Legends" park was the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The construction project was presented to him in 2018, and the name for the recreation area was also proposed by the head of state himself.
There are many objects on the territory of the park: there is a craftsmen center, a mosque, a hotel, a shopping center, and an amphitheater. But, of course, the main part of the complex is occupied by the amusement ride zone. Guests of the "Valley of Legends" can ride a roller coaster, go down a small water channel on a boat, or rise to the sky on the highest Ferris wheel in the country.
The "Afsona" water park is located in the far part of the complex. It is equipped with 16 swimming pools and 7 water rides.
From Tashkent, Namangan can be reached by car, train, or plane. The park itself is located in the western part of the city; it is convenient to get there by taxi.
If you head here during the warm season, you can plan your trip so as to catch the Namangan Flower Festival. During it, the city turns into a huge blooming garden.
