Dream Park in Tashkent
Dream Park, or Gafur Gulyam Park of Culture and Recreation, is located quite far from the center of Tashkent, but if you go there, you certainly won't regret it, because the large recreation area is perfect for relaxing with the whole family. There are amusement rides, a large pond, and even a Ferris wheel.
Dream Park: what to see
The park was founded back in 1967, and at that time the recreation area was called the park of the "40th Anniversary of the Komsomol of Uzbekistan". Later, the place began to be called Mirzo Ulugbek Park. A few years ago, a large-scale reconstruction took place here, and the location received its modern name at the same time.
Dream Park is the second largest park in all of Tashkent. Only Alisher Navoi Park is larger.
In the part of the park facing the "Mirzo Ulugbek" metro station, there is an area with amusement rides and a Ferris wheel. A building with cafes and entertainment facilities has also been erected here. Right in front of it is a concert venue where various performances are held on holidays. A little further from here is a stage and a rope park.
In the far part of the territory, there are two lakes with swans and ducks. You can take a boat ride there. In the center of one of the reservoirs, there is an island where you can hold a festive photo shoot. Entrance to its territory is paid.
Despite the fact that Dream Park is located far from the city center, you can easily get from here by metro, for example, to Tashkent City Park or to Amir Timur Square.
